Now Shipping: Highest Quality ADA8 V2 Option Card with Dual Gain Path Technology
The recent development of our Dual Gain Path technology allows our newly released Anubis and ADA8S/ADA8P cards to reach unprecedented specifications in terms of Dynamic Range compared to more traditional Mic Preamp and Analog to Digital conversion circuitry.
These new cards are available at your local Merging Sales Partner.
For those of you who want to compare this new technology with our older designs and/or 3rd party gear, we have put on our website noise floor comparisons as audio files and FFTs.
What Is Dual Gain Path Technology?
The new ADA8S and ADA8P modules are available in models that work up to 192kHz (ADA8S) and DXD/DSD256 (ADA8P). These new remotely controlled Mic/Line Input and Output cards are 3rd generation Dual Gain topology designs, inspired by the outstanding Anubis Preamps, that show zero tolerance to any compromise on the audio quality.
Watch Claude Cellier explaining the Dual Gain AD topology in this recently streamed 'NEW I/O cards with outstanding preamps for Horus and Hapi' webinar.
Merging Technologies Webinar Series
Our webinar series in English and French that started on April 1st has been extremely successful. Our views on our YouTube channel have doubled since then and we hope it will continue that way.
Hopefully, the topics of those webinars fulfilled the questions you may have about our products and ecosystem, but if you feel that we missed a particular subject or functionality, do not hesitate to come back to us with your request.
Mondo*dr 2020 EMEA & APAC Multipurpose Venue Award
Amadeus, Merging Technologies & C2 Artechnolozy win this year’s mondo*dr Award’s Multipurpose Venue category, with Paradise City, Korea.
Paradise City, located in Incheon, is the largest entertainment complex in South Korea, combining high-end hospitality with entertainment facilities.
C2 Artechnolozy (C2) was at the forefront of the design for the Paradise City phase 1-2 project, which includes Chroma, the largest nightclub in East Asia, encompassing three separate nightclubs, Wonderbox, an indoor amusement park, and the boutique hotel, Art Paradiso. As well as these, the vast complex also features an Art Garden and the Paradise Walk areas.
C2 was responsible for designing and supervising the audio, visual and lighting systems, as well as the design, development, and supervision of the EBGM system (Enhanced Background Music) for the entire resort.
The EBGM system is based on eight Ovation servers (one per building plus one for redundancy), Horus, and Hapi interfaces from Swiss manufacturer, Merging Technologies. The system is capable of up to 384KHz or DXD (DXD – Digital eXtreme Definition at 352.8KHz) via the AES67 RAVENNA network.
Utilising Apple’s iPad and Ovation’s Web Server functions, C2 designed the control interface so that each space within Paradise City can be individually controlled for its volume and channel, as well as for selecting sound sources of various genres through channel selection.
‘The Crossing’, protect yourself from infection, a new work from David Lang
Merging customer, Paul Vazquez, alerted us to this remarkable recording by Grammy winning, The Crossing. It was made last year before we knew anything about COVID-19. The choral text is from a government health notice issued during the Spanish Flu pandemic 102 years ago and is as relevant today as it was then. The advice is interspersed with recited names of victims of the 1918 pandemic.
