Thomson Video Networks today announced that its award-winning ViBE® VS7000 multi-screen and HEVC encoder was chosen by Vodafone Spain and Valencia Football Club for Spain's first live trial of an LTE Broadcast network on May 17. Vodafone Spain and Valencia CF used the ViBE VS7000 to distribute five simultaneous channels of live HD content to fans' mobile devices in Mestalla Stadium during Valencia CF's last Spanish League match against Celta de Vigo.

BBC One Drama Adaptation of Poldark Composited in Fusion Studio
Blackmagic Design today announced that Poldark, the new hit television drama by production company Mammoth Screen features visual effects production by Lexhag Ltd, including lavish set extensions and 3D matte painting, which were composted in Fusion Studio 7.
The eight part series, based on Winston Graham’s first two Poldark novels, was adapted by Debbie Horsfield and directed by Edward Bazalgette and Will McGregor. Visual Effects (VFX) for the series were supervised by Alexis Haggar who was involved in the series from pre production, working closely alongside series production designer Catrin Meredydd as well as the two block directors and both block directors of photography.
Wim Wenders’ ‘Every Thing Will Be Fine’ Finished with DaVinci Resolve
Blackmagic Design today announced that “Every Thing Will Be Fine”, directed by legendary German director Wim Wenders and starring James Franco, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Rachel McAdams, has been graded on DaVinci Resolve at Arri Film & TV Services Berlin by colourist Philipp Orgassa.
The film, which focuses on a novelist who accidentally knocks down and kills a child, is shot in 3D in order to produce a magnifying effect that draws out the emotions of grief and trauma felt by the protagonists. This is Wenders’ first dramatic production in 3D, following his Oscar nominated dance documentary “Pina” and the “Cathedrals of Culture” architecture series
