AES Dublin 2019
Merging will be sharing a booth at the AES Convention in Dublin with our friends PSI Audio. Stand #404 will feature Claude Cellier demonstrating some important innovations in monitoring.
Maurice Engler and Chris Hollebone hosted a very busy stand at ISE2019. On display was an early version of upcoming Ovation 8 and Pyramix 12 coupled to Horus and Hapi. This was capable of demonstrating immersive workflows in Ambisonics and Binaural with plugins from b<>com. ANEMAN was available to view on a separate laptop and demonstrated why this is an integral part of the Paradise City installation in South Korea. Many manufacturers were interested in our OEM solutions with ZMAN and the Linux VAD being the most popular.
Merging Technologies is able to supply a complete solution to the creation and delivery of immersive audio content. Theme parks, museums, live events, product launches, retail spaces, transport hubs have all benefited from the unique capabilities offered.
AES67 & RAVENNA Linux driver
We have released an ALSA Linux driver designed to provide RAVENNA & AES67 support for the Linux ecosystems. We have been using the driver in some of our products, and decided to make it available in two flavors: a free (but limited) non-commercial version, and an OEM version for manufacturers who wish to bring RAVENNA & AES67 to Linux applications.
Andreas Hildebrand at ISE 2019 explains the different options of ready-made boards that enables manufacturers to implement RAVENNA & AES67 into their products. Featured is our OEM ZMAN module, which we use in our next generation devices and is now available to 3rd party manufacturers for implementation in their own products.
