Hapi review on tapeop.com
Garrett Haines from Treelady Studios reviewed our Hapi converter on tapeop.com. Here is his conclusion:
“I’ve heard cases of mastering engineers switching to the Pyramix DAW just to get access to Merging’s converters. I admit being skeptical about these legends, but after auditioning Hapi, I no longer doubt these stories. ”

DXD vs DSD comparison
Long time customers and friends at 2L, Norway, have done a DXD vs DSD comparision of the same take, on two separate Pyramix/Horus systems:
“DXD vs DSD comparison: Analogue direct out from the microphone preamp was split into two separate Horus converters. One ADC running DXD (24bit/352.8 LPCM) and the other DSD128 (1bit/5.6448MHz), each signal path captured by their own Merging Technologies Pyramix DAW at their native resolution. Jan Gunnar Hoff solo piano (raw take) recorded in Sofienberg Church, August 2016, by Morten Lindberg, 2L”

When the Artist wants the ‘best of both worlds’
One of Europe’s most experienced location recording companies, Peter Brandt’s Remote Recording Network posted an excellent picture of the recording racks being used for Ilse DeLange’s 20th anniversary shows in Amsterdam. Horus is the preferred choice for the AD conversion into Pro Tools but this also demonstrates how easy it is to have back-up systems using RAVENNA.
In the left rack: A selection of vintage and hi-end preamps such as Neumann, Great River, EarthWorks, Brent Averill and Chandler.
And in the right rack: Merging Horus A/D conversion into Pro Tools plus two backup systems via RAVENNA Network.

MERGING+NADAC review on remusic.it
English translation of a NADAC review in italian published by ReMusic.it:
“… The NADAC pushes the concept of neutrality to a higher level than what we are usually accustomed to. The company itself jokes on its website about the concept of “neutrality”, in which Switzerland should have some expertise. Soundstage, dynamic, timbre, transparency, image: all the parameters that I consider and formulate in my reviews, those you will also find in the final synthesis, are better than all my old references.”
