PlayBox Technology reports an exceptionally buoyant Broadcast Asia show with strong interest in the company’s range of broadcast channel branding and playout solutions.
“We have long enjoyed good success at Broadcast Asia but the show this year has proved one of our busiest on record,” comments PlayBox Technology CEO Pavlin Rahnev. “Interest in our server-based AirBox Neo remains very strong, augmented by accelerating demand for our CloudAir offering which is based on the software-as-a-service model.”
“Broadcasters and playout service providers are also increasingly recognising the huge operational flexibility made possible by Neo/CloudAir hybrid solutions,” adds PlayBox Technology Asia regional sales director Iulian Ionescu. “The combination of AirBox Neo and CloudAir is ideally suited to the modern broadcast world, allowing the fast introduction of new round-the-clock programme channels as well as temporary event-based red-button OTT streams. Channel managers around the globe now recognise that our solutions provide the complete toolset they need to respond quickly to the expectations of television viewers whether watching via terrestrial, satellite or online networks.”
“Response to our Neo TS Time Delay was very positive,” adds PlayBox Technology’s Asia Pacific general manager Desmon Goh. “Introduced for the first time to the Asia Pacific market, it provides fast and easy control of playout to multiple time zones which is of great importance to many of our customers.”
“A crucial element of our demonstration was the unified graphic interface which gives Neo and CloudAir supervisors easy access to the entire playout process from a single control position. Tasks such as scheduling can be assigned to specific operators or the entire process performed by one individual.
“We also promoted CloudAir as a powerful solution for network-attached archiving and as an alternative to costly second-location disaster recovery centres. This is a logical and highly cost effective option which eliminates the need to purchase or lease additional office space.”
